This publication is a listing of tours (primarily by bus) organised by the UTA in 1949. Details of the key tours as well as all locations from which tours started (and the
tours available from each) are listed.
The UTA also provided railway caravans. These were sited at Ballycastle, Downhill, Castlerock, Donaghadee and Newcastle. The book, aimed at the British market,
notes that as Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, no customs formalities will arise. However, passengers between Britain and Northern Ireland were
required to have either a travel permit or a passport.
At the back of the book, there is a map of the north of Ireland, showing the railways of Northern Ireland and the coach tour routes of the UTA.
